He headed a 5-year run of the seminal ‘SUB:STANCE’ parties at the world’s best club, Berghain, immersing many of the key figures of the UK-centric dubstep movement of the 2000s directly in the core of Berlin’s techno scene.
He remains one of the industry’s most astute tastemakers. His Hotflush Recordings imprint has shaped the direction of the electronic landscape for over two decades, breaking the careers of innovators from Mount Kimbie to Joy Orbison, and more recently re-launching Welsh wonders
Bodhi with a cutting-edge sound and introducing the world to Australian prodigy Odd Occasion.
As a producer, his recent output has covered classic-era hardcore with the twin mixtapes ‘Digital Underground’ and ‘D:U:2’, which were accompanied by a UK tour titled ‘D:U:Live’. 2025 saw a return to euphoric house with a stand-out contributions to Sasha’s Last Night On Earth label and
Crosstown Rebels. The journey continues this year with the cavernous six-track ‘Petrology’ EP for Record Store Day UK.
In 2022, Rose’s career took an unexpected turn with the launch of the Not A Diving Podcast, a weekly long-form discussion of the key issues in the world of electronic music and beyond. An instant hit, early guests included Skream, Tiga, Laurent Garnier, and Chloé Robinson. 2025 saw a re-launch of the podcast in full video format with a new name – Music Not Diving. Guests have included Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, underground hero Jane Fitz, Detroit legend DJ Bone, and influential thought leader Elijah. The show is now a consistent fixture in the top UK music podcast charts on Apple Music and Spotify, with comfortably the largest audience of any UK podcast focusing on electronic and dance music.
September 2024 saw the first ever ‘Not A Diving Club’ event at fabric in London, an evening which featured a panel discussion with guests including T.Williams and Lu.Re. Live episodes of the podcast have been broadcast from ADE, IMS Ibiza, and Lost Village Festival. And in 2026 the podcast filmed its first episodes outside Europe, covering the emergent Techno scene in India.
